Family Law / Child Custody and Visitation
Child custody and visitation questions can occur as part of a divorce or as a separate family law matter when parents have not married. No matter how such proceedings come about, they share the fact that no parent wants to suffer any diminishment in the role he or she plays in his or her child’s life.
Preserving and protecting your relationship with your child as well as your right to have a say in major decisions in the child’s upbringing are key elements that we help parents fight for. We can help you fight for a child custody and visitation agreement that works for you and which serves the best interests of your child.
Working With Outside Experts When Necessary
Some child custody determinations include special circumstances which need to be evaluated. Not all parents are fit to have custody or unsupervised visitation with their children. In such situations we work with child psychologists and social workers, and utilize tools such as mental health evaluations, and drug and alcohol evaluations to assist in making the right determination for the child.
Father’s Rights
Fathers have the same rights as mothers in relation to their children and custody and visitation determinations. Our firm is committed to helping fathers exercise their rights so that they can enjoy their relationship with their children and fulfill their paternal responsibilities.
